International Day of Yoga & the Grand Finale of the Mass Wellness Week’25 celebration
A Tradition of Wellness at the Massachusetts State House
Each year, we proudly celebrate the International Day of Yoga and the grand finale of Mass Wellness Week at the Massachusetts State House.
This iconic space—where ideas that shaped nations have taken flight—provides the perfect setting to honor wellness as a force for human progress. In the midst of history, policy, and purpose, we bring wellness into the spotlight—where big ideas belong.
Because to us, wellness isn’t just personal—it’s part of the bigger picture.
International Day of Yoga & the Kickoff to Mass Wellness Week
What a remarkable initiative by the United Nations!
The International Day of Yoga (IDY), observed every year on June 21, stands as one of the most widely supported UN resolutions in history—co-sponsored by countries across the globe. At MWI, we embrace this celebration so deeply that we dedicate an entire week to it across the state of Massachusetts.
This date marks the start of Mass Wellness Week, a statewide campaign that brings together communities, organizations, and individuals to recognize and promote wellness in all its forms.
A Grand Finale Worthy of the Movement
The impact of Mass Wellness Week is hard to measure—but its momentum is undeniable. With participation from across the wellness ecosystem, the week culminates in a celebration that brings it all together:
the Grand Finale at the Massachusetts State House.
Held in the iconic Great Hall of Flags, the finale is a moment to reflect, recognize, and celebrate. We honor the leaders, volunteers, and contributors who have helped shape our shared vision—a world where wellness is a way of life.
